How can I put my test anxiety at ease?

June 6, 2010, 8:30 am
Question
I have really bad test anxiety. I blank out, freeze, my heart races, I shake uncontrollably. I have failed many tests due to this problem. I failed my road test because it had the word test in it. I failed my final exam last semester. I am going to school to be a nurse and exams ar every important and I want to overcome this so that I can succeed. Any help would be great.
Answer
You need to release all this energy and tension before you go to class to take this exam. Try running, exercising, don't drink any caffiene before you go, listen to calming music, but mostly you need to let go of the stress by using that energy you build up inside you. Drink lots of water, and remember, just breathe.
